- Only surface observations? Yes. Sub-surface and upper-air observations are left to other projects.
- Ship records from other sources? i.e. Spanish, Portuguese, China, Japan, etc.
Continuously mining for more old data – Part of ACRE project <www.met-acre.org> and connected to World Meteorological Organization Data Rescue (DARE) activities.

- Authors from each presentation add something
- Jack - Discussion: separate section to cover all discussions (Return within a week)
- Lisan - No discussion of outstanding issues
- Assessment of reanalysis (i.e. intercomparison)
- Technical aspects (i.e. parameterizations)
- Heather – key outcomes that were not captured
- Better organization?
- Xiquan – Can contribute to Reanalysis Evaluation section
- Gil – draft paper to BAMS, “Progress in Climate Reanalysis”
- Philosophy, why?, ...
